Now is the best time to buy furniture

Did you know due to the influx of quality furniture imports in the last ten years that furniture in many cases has gone down in price? And I mean way down. Our industry has been impacted by major deflation due to the importing of furnishings. This makes now the best time to buy home furnishings. Ten years ago a good quality formal dining room set would have easily retailed for $10,000. Today that same quality set will retail now for 40% to 50% less. So today you can pay much less for your home furnishings than you did ten or more years ago. Can’t say that about cars can you? This deflation in furnishings will not last long, we hear that the government will be increasing the tariff tax on the imported products, so now is the time to buy.

Yes, a lot of furniture sold today comes from overseas yet our top supplier of furniture, Stuart David, is made here in the United States, in fact here in California. We also have many other domestic manufacturers we support. In most cases the domestic made products are the ones that offer the most choices in customization whether it is fabric selection or color and finish. The ability to customize your product to fit your need has always been Naturwood’s strength. We love to offer our customers choices, rather than “what you see is what you get."

We have always supported charitable organizations such as the Sacramento Receiving Home, St. Patrick’s Home for Children, Families First, Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, Weave, Cure Breast Cancer Inc. and the list goes on and on. We also contribute to many local youth organizations and schools. My father was a Shriner and felt deeply about his commitment to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and we are continuing that commitment as well.

I am not one that boasts about much except for my daughters once in a while - it is truly not my nature.
